I’m the family IT expert. This means that when we’re invited round to dinner I spend most of the visit chained to the broken computer sorting out the mess and telling them how to do stuff, removing spyware, virii and assorted nastiness. It also means that I try and keep family up to date with new things that might help them.
My mother in law is fairly switched on and also, like me, likes a bit of digital photography. So I thought she might be interested in Zooomr. I sent off an email pointing her at my Zooomr site and saying that next time I’m round I’ll show her how to get it working for her own photos.

Before I get going I should say that I was going to call this post “Zooomr Grumps” but realized that would be unfair. It is still early days for Zooomr and I’m sure most, or all of this will be addressed in due course. There is also the chance that I just haven’t figured out how to do some of this stuff.
I like Zooomr and haven’t used any other Photo sharing service so can’t compare – and I got a free Pro account – so no “Grumps”, just a few things I would like.

I thought I would share how I’ve been getting along with Zooomr, it might help get my own thoughts in gear for making better use of it.
My efforts can be seen here: Brian’s Zooomr Account and are best viewed using the “Smartset” feature of Zooomr (more on that later).

Someone at work told me about this new photo sharing site called Zooomr that was giving away high capacity accounts. Since I was looking for a way to backup my photo’s and share them around the family and friends I thought I’d give it go.
